Terms and Conditions of Entry

The submission of an entry is evidence of the contestant’s consent to these terms and conditions.All dates and times are NZT. Entries must be uploaded to www.ultimatenztour.com by 1st September 2008.All entries will be available to view online at www.ultimatenztour.com (www.newzealandeducated.com/contest).The top ten entries will be determined by a combination of votes cast and ratings. Voting closes at midnight NZT on 8th September 2008. Judging of the top ten entries will commence on 9th September 2008 and finish on 12th September 2008 by impartial judges. The decision of the judges is final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be announced on 16th September 2008.

All entries must be prepared from materials available to all contestants through Education New Zealand (www.ultimatenztour.com) and Creative Commons, and from contestant’s own original materials. Except as specifically authorised, contestants may not use any other materials created by or for third parties, and the contestant shall be solely liable for the consequences of any breach of copyright or alleged breach of copyright in respect of the contestant’s own original materials. Original materials that have previously been published or submitted in competition by the contestant in any form are not eligible.Education New Zealand reserves the right to disqualify any entry containing inappropriate, illegal or offensive material. The decision of the Judges in this respect will be final.All submitted entries shall be deemed to have been commissioned by Education New Zealand in exchange for the opportunity to win prizes and shall become the property of Education New Zealand. Education New Zealand reserves the right to use or display all entries in any way it thinks fit now and in the future without obtaining further express permission from the contestant or providing any further remuneration.A copy of an entry may be retained for the contestant’s own personal (non-commercial) use, and copies of any original materials contributed by a contestant may be retained by the contestant.All contestants will ordinarily be identified by name as the author of their entries. No other details of contestants will be publicly available or released to third parties without the express consent of the contestant, and contestants who indicate that they do not wish to be publicly identified in any way shall have this option.Any legal issues (including copyright, privacy and data protection issues) shall be determined in accordance with New Zealand law.

Eligibility

The competition is open to international students aged between 15 and 24 currently studying at an educational facility anywhere in the world. Proof of enrolment in an educational facility (such as Student ID) may be required. New Zealand citizens and permanent residents are not eligible. People who have been convicted of a criminal offence in New Zealand or any other country, or who for whatever reason would otherwise fail to qualify for a New Zealand visa, are not eligible.Winners are responsible for arranging any visa requirements in order to take up their prize. Any winner under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to take up the prize of a trip to and around New Zealand.
